Nourish yourself first

Your soul needs time for solitude and self-reflection. In order to love, land, heal and create, you must nourish yourself first"

Louise Hay

What is self-reflection? Well, it's about taking the time to think about, meditate on and uncover your behaviours, thoughts, attitudes, motivations, and desires. Your mindset.

Yet because so many habits, behaviour patterns, and pre-set programming are buried in our subconscious we're often unaware of even being self-reflection into these areas. Our subconscious mind operates as a sort of "control room", directing how we think, feel, and act. But if we want to be in charge, we need to be able to see into the "control room", beyond the conscious mind, and change some of the programs we no longer benefit from.

One way to access the unconscious is through self-reflection, putting a mirror up to ourselves and evaluating what we see or feel.

Ok, you might be thinking that self-reflection is selfish. You don't have time to sit, meditate upon, or deep dive into your subconscious mind. It's been shown in various Psychology studies that the ability to self-reflect increases the ability to perceive other people's inner emotions, kindles altruism, and increases our ability to connect to subtle signals indicating what others need or want. So no, it's not selfish to self-reflect because not only will it support you, but it will support others you connect with.

Before I had my own personal coach I didn't know how to or even why working on my subconscious beliefs was important! Then through coaching, I began to reflect upon and understand how my subconscious thoughts were impacting my life.

That's why I work with women now, through WeJoinTheDots as a Mindset Coach for Women, to help them to do the same!

Is now the right time in your life to start making positive changes and creating the life that you want? It is...ok great!
